hi! I'm Madeline
Welcome to Meadow & Mae. I'm so glad you're here.
our story
Meadow & Mae was born in 2021 out of my desire for a new therapeutic hobby. I've always been creative, hopping between different crafting mediums and outlets, but when I picked up polymer clay and started making earrings, I fell in love with it. Soon I was making too many pairs to keep for myself, and I started selling them to friends and family.Â
Now, almost five years after first opening my shop, I've brought Meadow & Mae to many juried art fairs and markets and expanded my offerings and designs significantly. I've also built up the wholesale side of my business so that Meadow & Mae can be found in boutiques all over the world! My goal is to provide quality, handmade jewelry that you can use to express your style and live boldly. I also aim to provide a safe space by speaking out about social justice and civil rights, and by using my art to advocate for change and build community. I want every person to feel seen and represented by my business mission and my designs, and I firmly believe that personal style can be an instrument of revolution.
Thanks for stopping by and for supporting me in this journey. I am so glad I get to share it with you.
what we stand for
Meadow & Mae is a woman-founded, woman-owned small business that believes in the inherent dignity and value of all people. When you shop with us, you are supporting a business that believes the following:
- Healthcare is a human right.
- Climate change is a real, human-made problem that we have an obligation to solve.
- No civilian should have access to assault rifles.
- Everyone has a right to healthcare, housing, and food.
- LGBTQ+ people should be able to live their lives free from discrimination.
- Abortion should be safe, legal, and normalized.
- No human is illegal on stolen land.
- Black lives matter.
- Vaccines save lives.
- Billionaires shouldn't exist.
- The people of Palestine should be free.
We aim to use our business and platform to speak up and to provide an outlet for others to do so through our designs. Business and art are political, and to keep politics out of either of those things is a sign of immense privilege.
Progress starts with being uncomfortable. If you agree, you're in the right place.
